The Total Percussion Intensive (TPI) is a 2-day hands-on workshop designed to provide a complete percussion experience. Modeled after Joe McCarthy’s BASIC Training®, Bootcamp for Serious Drummers®, TPI focuses on exploring essential percussion concepts, tones, and techniques from across the globe. Participants will work alongside world-class percussionists to expand their knowledge and understanding of the vast percussion family. This event is hosted by the Southeastern University School of Music and is open to high school,
collegiate, and professional-level percussionists. Band directors and music educators are also encouraged to attend and gain additional insight to confidently teach essential percussion techniques and concepts.
