On Friday, the National Gallery of Art held its final summer jazz performance in the Sculpture Garden. The Jazz in the Garden Series concluded with the Afro Bop Alliance (ABA), a Latin Grammy award-winning group known for their Afro-Cuban jazz.
Hoards of D.C. locals and tourists gathered for a beautiful evening of live music and endless sangria to round out the summer. Patrons of all ages danced wistfully in front of the stage and around the grounds. People crowded every square inch of green space and sat inches away from the NGA’s world-renowned sculptures. Over the summer months, the NGA held 14 other live performances showcasing different dimensions and blends of jazz.
